I was born at the old Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. A few years later my family moved to Orem briefly then to Provo where I attended Wasatch Elementary until third grade. We then moved to Mapleton, Utah where I finished my elementary education at Mapleton Elementary School. Springville Middle School, Springville Jr High were successfully completed. I finally graduated from Springville High School. During this time I worked in the yards, fields, orchards and local grocery store. School was not my favorite subject but did do some cross country running and played on the chess club. I was also involved with church and scouting activities. Dad and I pursued many deer, elk and fish in Utah and Wyoming. For a summer after high school my friend Jeff and I worked on a ranch in Boulder, Utah. I never worked so hard or had so much fun. It was this experience that gave me a love for southern Utah. I resumed my studies and UTC before being called to serve in the Zurich, Switzerland Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. There I learned to appreciate and love the people of southern Germany, western Austria and Switzerland. After my mission I eventually completed my associates degree at UVCC and began attending University of Utah. During this time a married Dea. We moved to Provo where she finished her degree at Brigham Young University. I was employed at Questar Gas at this time and resumed my studies at Weber State University. Seven children joined our family. I studied to be a elementary school teacher and successfully completed the program up to the student teaching experience. It was at this time that the students of several elementary schools and a couple of school districts taught me that teaching wasn't going to work out for me. I continued my employment with Questar Gas. Dea and I were divorced. The circumstance and events swirling around our lives were the most trying that I have ever experienced. After five years I began dating and after a lengthy courtship married Mickie Clark Dennis and this is where my adventure with the Livingston Clan began....
