My great grandfather was William Livingston and his daughter, Jean Bain Livingston, was my paternal grandmother. I was born in Idaho in 1940, and my family moved to Utah when I was 10 years old. I graduated from the u U of Utah, served a Mission in Hamburg, Lubeck and Bremen, Germany, taught 2nd grade, graduated with a MS in Counseling and Guidance from BYU, was a HS counselor in New Canaan Conn., taught at BYU as a graduate assistant, married Ray Ivie and we were blessed to become the parents of 7 children, Richard, Brian, Colleen, Bonnie, Deborah, Lisa and Stephen. Bearing and raising these wonderful children is the most important thing I have ever or will ever do in my life. I returned to teaching and taught Kindergarten, got a contract with IBM and wrote a teachers manual and content for a computer based first grade reading program, taught at UVSC (now UVU) as adjunct faculty and then worked as Test Center Manager at Mountainland Applied Technology College. I retired in Nov. 2012. I have served in the YWMIA, primary (usually as chorister) taught Gospel doctrine, and am currently Sacrament Meeting chorister and Jr. Primary chorister. Ray and I are now serving two days a week as missionaries in the Bishops' Storehouse in Lindon, UT. All our children have been blessed with spouses and children. Each grandchild is "an improvement on the old stock," as my father used to say. I love the Lord. "My cup runneth over".
