Reunion Planning
Discussion led by Stott Cook
Discussion held and agreed on by board that this year would be a one day reunion at a ward building with a pavilion and ball park. Ann emailed her suggestions to have a couple of classes on family history, a dinner, a guest speaker (short) and some dancing. She will check into a caller for the dance. Classes suggested: How to use Google as a research tool. How to conduct a productive interview for a life history, Digital scrap booking. She will check into Nancy Livingston and Brad Wilcox for the speaker. The board all agreed these were great suggestions.
Dennis Davis suggested that he could set up a place as people came and take family pictures - have family fill out form with names of all the family and use that as the registration. All agreed that was a great idea.
__________ suggested we hand out paper and ask everyone to write about a grandparent or incident in their or someone else’s life for Ross to put on the web site.
Encourage everyone to write and send in their history and that of their ancestors. Save all obituaries. An obituary defines your whole life.
Ross called and arranged for his stake center 2450 West 10400 South) to hold the reunion. Will follow up.
Ross suggested we start at noon and end with a raffle about 5:00 pm. All agreed to this time frame.
Tentative Agenda for Reunion:
- 12:00 Noon Family Portraits and Registration
- 12:30 PM Catered Lunch and business meeting

- 2:30 - 3:00 Displays

Website Update
Visit the website and click on Recent changes to see what is new.
Dana suggested that Ross send notice when new history is entered. Since he will probably forget, it is recommended that you check the recent changes link periodically. Or, if you use an RSS news aggregator (and if you're not, you should be), you can use the following feed to keep on top of changes - as they happen:
