Livingston Family Association Board Meeting
August 12, 2007 at 7:00 pm
Ross Livingston's home
Present: Ross Livingston, Stott Cook, Charlene Clark, Enid Cox, Dana Rogers, Ann Macdonald, Ted Livingston
Not attending: Blaine Livingston, Lynne Herring
Note: Due to increased work and family responsibilities, Lynne has regretfully determined that the board best be served by accepting her resignation. Though her heart is dedicated, her time and availability for service have been severely reduced. She is grateful to each of you for your dedication, teamwork and support. It has been a pleasure for her to associate with each of you in this outstanding organization. It is her firm belief that someone will be available and willing to step onto the Board to fill her seat. She wishes the organization continued success.
Charlene Clark volunteered to step in and become the chairman until the next reunion.

Enid reported that Dwight Epperson requested further information for the IRS which she provided. The 501c3 status should be approved soon.
Ancestor Research Project - Ted Livingston & Dana Rogers
Ted Livingston and Dana Rogers will compile a research log and make it available on the website. They will determine several common ancestors to work on and the best method to extend the line and give specific assignments. They will coordinate the documentation and give the research results to Ross Livingston to post on the website.
Website update – Ross Livingston
We think our latest verified information comes from Lavonne VanOrden. When it was converted to gedcom all of the reference items went into the notes section, so there is a lot of "cleanup" work to be done. Ross will determine how best to get this information on the website and if it is a "one-man job" or if many of us can work on it.
Reunion Report - Stott Cook and Ann Macdonald
It was a unanimous opinion that the reunion at Birch Creek was a great success. The Campfire program and cemetery program were terrific. Everyone did their job and came through with all their assignments. One comment received from a family member is as follows:
- Fantastic job, you guys. The reunion was just wonderful. The people were wonderful, of course, and the visiting was the best. But besides that, you took care of 7,000 details. We had chairs, horses, rope swing, pens, cute name tags, ghost name tags, garbage bags, potties, maps signs clan numbers, printed program, ice cream, dutch oven peach and chocolate delights, breakfast of all you can eat, delicious lunch, microphone, umbrellas, forks, cups, tablecovers, tape, prizes, stories, and pedigrees. Did you forget anything? It was so well organized and so well presented. I had a great time and I wanted to stay longer. Kudos to all of you. You earned a trophy. (Kay Larsen)
2008 Reunion - Stott Cook and Ann Macdonald
Our fantastic reunion co-chairmen, Stott and Ann, made a proposal the we couldn't resist. They have already secured a camping spot on the water front at Pine View Reservoir. The suggestion is to have a theme of "Railroads" for the reunion and visit the fantastic railroad museum in Ogden. We all loved the idea and more discussion and details will be worked out during our October meeting.
Newsletter update - Charlene Clark
Charlene Clark suggested and all agreed that our next newsletter be sent after our October meeting. It will include:
- Ancestor Research Project
- Recap of the Birch Creek Reunion
- A train history
- Article about the next reunion
In the meantime, Charlene will send 20 names and phone numbers to each board member to call and get their email address. This will significantly reduce the cost of mailing the newsletter.
Descendancy Update - Blaine Livingston
