Reunion
Stephen will call the ranch resort near Manti and see if we could get reservations there. We talked of the possibility of a two-day reunion. Depending on availability, preferred dates are July 1 and July 15. (?)
Financial Report
Bank balances were reported and suggestion made (in order to generate more donations) to include a form in the newsletter offering prize drawing for responses. This would also get our database started.
Newsletter
Enid will collect articles from board members for the newsletter. Deadline March 23rd.
- Ross - report on format of CD - pictures, histories, genealogies, etc. and converting info to html format for web site, etc.
- Shaunna - plans for collecting data for master database and need for help from everyone, including assigning representatives from each line.
- Joyce - the "Chairman's Message".
- Stephen - reunion plans and date finalized.
- Carolyn - history.
Demonstration
Ross demonstrated the process of mass scanning and expressed a need for help with proof-reading from a lot of people. Send him names of willing workers. He is volunteering mega hours in linking pictures of ancestors to histories to genealogy, etc. We need everyone to collect histories and pictures.
Web Site and email
Shaunna would like to collect more email addresses so we can save money mailing out newsletters and other information. Shaunna and Ross will work out details of linking information to family web sites.
We were all overwhelmed with the thoughts of this huge undertaking.
