Genealogical Standards

Family history research is only as good as its documented sources. The Livingston Family Association wants to adhere to best practices for documenting and publishing accurate references to original source documents that prove all asserted genealogical facts.

The National Genealogical Society has published some helpful standards for genealogical research[1], one of which is reproduced here with permission.
