From: scottishbrenda To: klarsen Sent: Thursday, June 18, 2009 8:08 AM Subject: Livigston family Dear Kay, ;another thing here is that I found where the family of Granny were living prior to their departure to America.....The family were living in Bothwell Lanarkshire in a place called Hollen Bush, not sure if its still there but i can go searching for that (something to see on tour) Here the family were Christina stated to be age 60, James 21 Helen 18 James 19, Charlie 16, Archibald 6, and William age 12......This is the William who married Lillias Dick a half sister to my childrens great great grandmother Jane Dick of Tooele Utah..... There is so much stuff coming forward now Kay, that I cant express enough that I know the Lord is having a hand in this, what amazes me is the names come forward and then doors open to find a family...I know there are many that have put their genealogies on the internet but these are people who are the direct descendants of your Granny Livingston, and its about time to find out if they need their temple work done, which I believe does.....More so, what can be said about your wonderful Granny, and yes an impact that she had on her posterity, to leave most of her own children and other grandchildren, wonder if she ever corresponded with any of them, not sure on that as basic education was the norm for that period of time and mail to Utah in the early 1800's few and far between ......still maybe she is getting impatient to have her world wide family joined so they may all have an opportunity to receive their blessings...... Now one of those grandchildren, named Grace Lindsay, she was the daughter of William Lindsay and Grace Livingston......she was born 1852 and married a David Conn, his parents were David Conn and Elizabeth Armstrong.....Grace and David were married Jan 3 1874 in the parish of Sorn in Ayrshire...they had by 1881 census, a son named John Lindsay Conn but he was born in 1872 so they must have had this son before they were married...David born 1877,Grace 1879 and Andrew 1month ...1881 the family then immigrated to Iowas in 1883 along with David Conn's parents David and Elizabeth Armstrong Conn.....They went to Jasper, Iowa.
